Patchy hair loss .. doctors cant help!?

I'm experiencing hair loss in small/medium patches. I went to see the doctor and was given a blood test and the results came back all clear!! they said therefore its not a medical problem but the hair loss is quite disturbing! What other reasons cuold there be?Patchy hair loss .. doctors cant help!?
-PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), excessively high levels of androgens (male hormones)

-Anemia (low iron)

-Any hypothalamic or pituitary disorder (glands in the brain)

-Any thyroid, liver, adrenal or ovarian disorder

-Childbirth

-Drug toxicity - anesthesia, chemotherapy

-Eating disorder - anorexia, bulimia

-Essential fatty acid deficiency

-Protein deficiency (common with vegetarian diets)

-Severe infection

-Severe stress

-Starting or stopping birth control pills

-Various medications, including bromocriptine, beta blockers, ACE inhibitors, amphetamines, anticholesterol agents

-Mineral or vitamin deficiency - zinc, manganese, iron, vitamin B6, biotin

-Perms, hair color, bleach, improper brushing/combing, hair styles that pull on the hair

-Autoimmune disease such as lupus

-Any sex steroid imbalance such as low progesterone, estrogen dominance

-Allergies

-Recent hepatitis B shot.

-fungal infection of scalp

Also, if you comb it real tight and tie it back, it puts extra stress on the hair follicles. You may want to also try getting more sun on your scalp if you always have your head covered. (lack of vitamin D).

I would get a second opinion. Another doctor might have a different suggestion and test for other things.Patchy hair loss .. doctors cant help!?
I had patchy hair loss on my face 6month ago. My Friend recommended me to taking Biotin over the counter vitamins. I bought Biotin 5000 from GNC..two month later all hair grow back on my face and skull.
